Geocache Description:

Small sized cache easy to find tucked away in a small park in the heart of Truro. Cache contains a log book, stash note and a pencil room for small swaps.

Heroes Park is a memorial park in Truro, in honor of the World War 1 Soldiers. On 15 November 1986 as part of the Heroes Park beautification scheme, a plaque was unveiled by P.N. Flemming Esq. M.B.E, The state president of the R.S.L. (SA Branch. The original tablet that still remains today was originally erected along side a tree that was planted in honor of Lance Corporal Albert. F. Binning by the local Truro Residents. He was the first Truro man to enlist and the only Truro Soldier at Gallipoli Landing. Albert was the first to pay the supreme sacrifice from Truro. As part of the Truro 150 Jubilee on 8 October 2000 a Time capsule was Laid here by the Oldest & youngest pupils of the school, Mr. Keith Miler aged 82y.o. and Rebecca & Ben Fairey both aged 5y.o. The capsule is to be opened in 2050. You are looking for an eclipse mint tin, magnetised up under the bridge.
