Hitting the high note Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions

The cache is located in the village of Danby in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. This is a NANO cache! There is no pencil, take your own! Plenty of roadside parking near to cache site.
Danby is a great place to base any tour of the North Yorkshire Moors and the village is well worth a look at. Danby has a lovely Methodist Chapel built in 1901, replacing the chapel built in 1811. Look out for the sundial from the original chapel set over the door to the Sunday School. The Sunday School itself was built to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. Just near to the Chapel runs a stream, always a good place for a paddle with wellies and fishing net! The village pub, the Duke of Wellington, dates back to 1765 and was used as a recruiting post for local regiments during the Napoleonic War – Prince Charles also visited a couple of years ago!
Danby is easily reached by car. Roadside parking is available in the village centre or park at the Moors Centre and walk in. The Moors Centre is just a short way outside of the village; it has recently been refurbished and now has a café, children’s playground, exhibitions and nature trails. Danby is also served by the Moorsbus network during the summer months and all year by the Esk Valley Railway from Middlesbrough and Whitby.
