New Balance Multi-Cache
Larry the pool guy: I am saddened that I have to archive this old cache that I took over for my friend Bryon the area just East of the cache hide has been cleaned up for new housing. New fences have been placed and No trespassing signs have been posted. I did see some homeless West of Cache hide they are now living in the storm drain tunnel. I am opening up this spot I do not think it is now a good place to bring my fellow geocachers.

I must part ways with an item that shared many miles with me...my first Geocaching shoe. It lasted nearly a year. But the wear and tear of walking through thorns, bushwhacking, tree branches, spider webs protecting caches, mud from slipping down sides of rain-washed hillsides, unexpected snow at higher elevations, and gum from parking lot lamppost hides was simply too much.
The shoe worked hard and has earned a landmark tens of people may see. To give my shoe as much credit possible, I decided on a two-stage multi-cache...as you walk to the Geocache from the starting point, reflect on your shoe. Where has it traveled? How many Geocache has it taken you to? The starting coordinates provide ample parking as routine crowds of people and media will follow you to the historic shoe. However, if you do not mind collecting dirt on your car, you can drive on the dirt road to within a couple hundred feet of the shoe. I always wondered why the shoe was named...New Balance.
