Kiersolvd: It is indeed gone. Not sure how or why. However, it is time to let this place rest. When placed two years ago, a small animal trail led back to this area. With just a few, mostly cachers visiting, a full blown trail has developed. Hard to imagine how so few people have such an impact. Thanks to all who visited this site.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in the upper reaches of Eastgate Park


The listed coordinates should place you at or very near the base of a set of stairs.  Your initial task is to count the number of steps and apply that number to the following equation:

  • X = number of steps
  • A = 33.949 + (5 * X) / 1000
  • B =   8.684 - (5 * X) / 1000
  • N47 A W122 B

Find a bit of a game trail into the cache site.  Native Blackberries and Oregon Grape lay along the way.
