Geocache Description:

A micro hidden near the airport in Oakland

CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES: Solve language puzzle for actual position.
How good are you at reading and translating phonetic Russian numerals? Let's find out!!!

This cache is a micro hangin' around in Oyster Bay Park area with great views of the planes landing at Oakland Airport. International flights call for a bit of foreign language exchange to find the cache!
Do not try to approach cache from paved path nearest water's edge, there is a fence in the way. Instead, come down from the dirt path above. Minor bushwhacking is needed to get to the cache for the last fifty feet or so. When you see LEO2 and LM15W you are about 145 and 161 feet away, respectively, if you take approach from out of the NE; keep going! Please bring writing instrument for this cache; small trade items will fit in new container.

The cache can be found at: Sever' tritsat'-syem' gradusov, sorok-dva. chetiresta devyanosto-devyat' minut X Zapad sto dvatsat'-dva gradusov, dvenadtsat'. sto dvatsat'-chetyre minut.
Good luck and Happy Caching!

Update 6/2/09: Visited cache to replace a full log and decided to upgrade to larger container: old=pill fob; new=spice bottle with camo (almost a "small"). Coords again verified to be exactly correct once you solve the language puzzle. Still in same position relative to ground and natural feature of placement. New cache contains new log pages+stash note in ziploc with the old log, four of my signature frogs of various sizes, a sparkly lizard and a more plain lizard.

Update 8/24/09: Added some historical and current versions of Cyrillic and Glagolitic alphabets to cache photo gallery. Please notice the modifications over the centuries from medieval calligraphy to modern print forms. Cyrillic is easier to read for those already familiar with Greek. Check it out!
