Geocache Description:

Give Me The Night would be an excellent song to sing as you hunt down this night cache. The song was released in 1980, and was sung by George Benson and produced by Quincy Jones under the label of Warner Bros.

Come on! Sing along, play the game... it's part of what makes geocaching fun:)

Lyrics:
Whenever dark has fallen
you know the spirit of the party
starts to come alive.
Until the day is dawning
you can throw out all your blues
and hit the city lights.
'Cause there's music in the air
and lots of caches everywhere
so gimme the night. Gimme the night.

You need the evening action,
a place to dine, a glass of wine,
a little late romance.
It's a chain reaction.
You'll see the people of the world
coming out to dance.
'Cause there's music in the air
and lots of caches everywhere
so gimme the night. Gimme the night.

So come on out tonight
and we'll lead the others
on a ride through paradise.
And if you feel all right
then we can be caching buddies cause I see that
starlight look in your eyes.
Don't you know we can fly?
Just gimme the night. Gimme the night.

And if we go caching together,
we'll feel the rhythm of the evening
taking us up high.
Never mind the weather.
We'll be dancing in the street
until the morning light.
'Cause there's music in the air
and lots of caches everywhere.
So gimme the night. Gimme the night

How to find the cache and other helpful tips:
  • This night cache is made up of three stages. In the first stage you'll follow arrows which are made of white reflective tape. In the second stage you'll be seeking firetacks made with white reflective tape and then you'll project a waypoint to find the final cache where you can sign in.
  • At the posted coordinates scan the area with a flashlight or your car headlights for the arrow(s) which point the direction you should proceed.
  • An arrow pointing up means proceed forward, left or right means turn and two arrows pointing down means to search the immediate area for a hide-a-key which contains coordinates for the start of the Fire Tack Stage.
  • As you approach one arrow you may see another arrow in the distance or you may need to pass one arrow heading in the appropriate direction for up to 50 feet before the next arrow comes into view.
  • Drive slowly scanning ahead for the white reflective arrows.
  • When you have the clue to the Fire Tack Stage proceed to the new coordinates and search in the distance for a small reflector, it's not as bright as the arrows and much smaller.
  • Once you find a Fire Tack search for the next Fire Tack while standing approximately ten feet from the found Fire Tack. You may need to move to one side or the other before the next Fire Tack comes into your line of site.
  • You've reached the end of the Fire Tack stage when you find two to five Fire Tacks in the same tree.
  • The final cache is approximately 200 feet beyond the tree with 2-5 Fire Tacks. You can locate it by projecting a waypoint, stand on the down hill side of the tree with the fire tacks. Then project a waypoint 198 feet at a bearing of 81 degrees true.
  • The final is a largish pill bottle tied in place. It is about 2 feet high and about 18 inches from a manhole cover. You may also see yellow reflective tape about ten inches below the pill bottle.

My thanks to Xyval, Mamaduck, Geo-Credibles and GCalum for giving this cache a test run. As testers they aren't FTF rather were an invaluable asset in getting the cache placed with assurance that it all works.
