This area is part of the P.A. model forest trail. It is an interesting and informative walk.
This cache is reached by parking at N 53 41.075 W 105 14.931. Mark this spot because the forest trails can be confusing. Walk approx .6 km through boreal forest to cache site. It is an interesting walk with signs depicting different stages of forest development. You will eventually come to the Aschim Homestead. This homestead was first developed as farm land in 1932. It is now a heritage site with trails and board walks through thicket and hardwood swamps and forests ending at a beaver pond.
The cache is a green spray painted coffee can. Included treasures are: log book and pencil, jewelery kit, deck of cards, golf ball, map, magnetic clippies, and a clip light.
Watch for wildlife! Walk all the trails if you have time.
