Geocache Description:

In 1905 the Dobson family donated to the city this 26 acres of land overlooking downtown Chehalis and the Newaukum River valley. The park was once used as a passive picnic area by many residents. After being closed for many years the city is now reopening the park. A local Eagle Scout recently refurbished the trails and they are now open to the public.

So I decided after reading a article in my city's newsletter that this park needed a cache. When we arrived the weather was beautiful! We started our hike into the park and we were only about 150' up the trail when we heard something and when we looked up we saw a squirrel chasing another squirrel and the second squirrel knocked the first one out of the tree. It fell about 80 feet to the ground and the other squirrel came down the tree to finish the first one off. This is the first case of Sciuricide I have ever witnessed! But all I could think of at first was "Look it's raining squirrels!"

So bring your umbrellas and watch out above you and come find this cache and the other one I placed further up the trail.

And again remember you are being watched from above.....

I am rating this one a 2.5 for steep terrain and the possibility of having a squirrel drop on you ;)
