Teviot Valley Walkways - Bullock Track No
2
This one is at the top of the Bullock Track. and can be
reached by continuing, on foot, up the hill from the Bullock
Track No 1 cache.
The easiest way to get there however, by far, is to go by 4WD or
Mountain Bike via Craig Rd., turn left onto Mt Hope Rd. It might be
possible to use this route by a non 4WD in the middle of summer but
probably not recommended, enquire locally.
If you decide to climb, on foot, to the top please note the advice
given re times and clothing etc. on the sign board at the bottom of
the track.
Because of the altitude (about 880m)and the
high possibility of snow on the road, this cache site may not be
available during the winter months. The period of inaccessibility
by road would be from about the 1st of May until about the 31st of
August, depending on the severity of the winter.
The most spectacular views of our valley can be seen from this
vantage point, well worth going there to get.
The container is a 450ml, green lidded "ClickClack". It is hidden
at sort of ground level(clamber around the big rock a bit?)
- A stash note.
- A small log book.
- A pencil & sharpener.
- A childs' whistle.
- A penny, Australian -1964.
