Geocache Description:

off one of the parking lots

Be sure to take in the wonderful view of the Potomac river. The lighthouse is one of the oldest original lighthouses on the river. Visit the museum, walk on the beach, and sit on the dock. The sunsets are spectacular. The box contains items from my gradchildren in Georgia, Mardri Gras coins,and Piney Point lighthouse memorabilia. The Museum Authority just spent three months upgrading the grounds. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the view.
