Geocache Description:

Located in Champoeg (pronounced sham-POO-ee) State Park, near Newberg, OR. on the Willamette River. Prior to 1840 "Champooick" was home to the Kalapuya Indians. Fur trappers established a settlement here and in 1841 began holding "wolf meetings" to discuss predator problems. On May 2, 1843 settlers voted 52 to 50 to establish a provisional government. The town grew to 60 buildings and a population of 200. By 1892, two disasterous floods had completely wiped out the town and it was abandoned.

You are searching for a medium sized ammo can containing the following: Logbook and pen, Kansas "Sunshine" geocoin, windchime, flashlight, pen set, mini-radio, eyeglass repair kit.
