A byway walk with close views of Cley Hill to the south west of the cache location.
Cley Hill, a favourite of local walkers and ramblers and its extensive history is well documented, both in local books and libraries and on the internet. Whilst this would certainly add great interest when standing at the summit, this cache, the third of three, takes a slightly different approach by not requiring you to actually climb it. It is placed close to a bridleway that provides an easy flat walk, whilst giving some excellent views of the hill without the strenuous effort required to ascend it. Another cache in the vicinity (A Big Pile of Cley) will provide historical information and that challenge should you feel up to it.
Parking for this cache is at N51º 12.119 W002º 12.813 opposite Bugley Barton Farm. The cache is a small ‘click-lock ‘container situated near the lower end of the hill, close to the south western edge of Norridge Wood.
‘Buggy Riders’ may find a field opening a short distance beyond the cache location could be useful. If attempted by wheel chair users, you would definitely need the help of a companion to retrieve the cache which is approx. 25ft off the path.
