Nearby is a marvellous round of caches by the Bog Bears taking you on a great tour of the Witherslack Woods, see: Witherslack Wander. While doing that round we found an interesting feature near the parking spot and we thought other folk may like to see it.
Man-made or a natural phenomena? Feel free to express your opinion in your log here, although don't give too much away about the cache! Permanent marker or one of those old fashioned china-graph pencils would be best for writing the cache log but ordinary pen will probably write ok.
To drive to this cache turn off for Witherslack and come from the NE on the old road. You can walk from the garage on the main road to the SW, or from the nearby lay-by. Another interesting corner along the A590. Have fun!
