Leeds to Liverpool Canal. The Mile Tunnel at Foulridge .
The village of Foulridge in Lancashire is situated near to Colne and a couple of miles from the end of the M65 motorway. The Leeds to Liverpool canal runs through the village and the “ Mile Tunnel “ on the canal has an entrance here .The tunnel is 4900 feet long and took 5 years to build and was opened in 1796 .
I have put a micro cache near to the entrance of the tunnel . The cache is a small KINDER TOY canister with just a log sheet .BRING YOUR OWN PENCIL. . The area can be like Muggle City at times but the cache should be an easy find. There is a car park next to the canal wharf at N 53 52.785 W 002 10.274 and this is only 5 minutes walk from the cache location
