This cache is located near the site of the Picture Rocks Veterans Memorial Park. Stop and check out the names on the Memorial side walk. We Would like to see picture of your visit to our towns fountain that honors our Veterans past and present. Thank you to all our Veterans for your selfless service. Please DO NOT disturb the memorial. The cache is not located in it.
The Picture Rocks Veterans Memorial is complete! The Veterans Memorial Park of Picture Rocks, 179 S. Main St., now has as its centerpiece a 6-ton waterfall memorial, surrounded by bricks dedicated to veterans near and far. Hughesville High School students Patrick Maggs and Jared Sones designed the centerpiece that sits in the middle of the waterfall memorial. Thank you to Gene Otterbein ( and the other 7 board members), who chairs the eight-person board that has worked for about five years on the memorial.
At any giving time there maybe 2 travel bugs in the area you can log. They are kind of big and you can see them from the street sidewalk if you are observant. When you find them, please feel free to come get the TB number and log them.
