Welcome to the Stony Creek Metropark Nature Center Puzzle Cache! The listed coordinates will get you to the Nature Center where you will need to locate numbers to “build” the coordinates for the final cache’s location. This is designed to be a very family friendly cache. Use the clues below to fill in the numbers represented by each letter in the coordinates listed below.

Clues:
A = The number of aquariums in the wall of the lobby.
B = The number pieces of glass used to create the “Waters of Change” mural.
C = The number of scents you can guess in the smell box.
D = The number of photos on “Why do I hear Gunshots?” in the lobby.
E = The number of holes to reach through to touch the artifacts.
F = 1 + The last digit of the year this building was opened (see dedication plaque in the lobby).
G = Third digit of the year the walleye on display was caught.
H = The number of sasquatches on display in the lobby.
I = The number of sides on the big “wood” and glass turtle tank.
J = The total number of critters in the burrow in the "Hibernation Buddies" exhibit.
K = The number of Flying Purple People-Eaters mounted above the fireplace.
L = The number of holes to reach through to touch and guess objects like a raccoon does.
M = The number of Metroparks in Wayne county.
N = The number of humans depicted on the glass “Waters of Change” mural.
O = The number of cushy blocks used to “Create a Critter.”
Visitors will need to enter the Nature Center to solve this puzzle, so make sure you visit during the hours that it is open to the public. The summer hours are 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM every day, and during the school year the building is open from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Mon-Fri, and 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on the weekends. If you are not sure what the hours will be the day you plan to come please feel free to call 586-781-9113 to talk to the nature center staff. The Nature Center is closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.
Entrance into the nature center is free; however there is a vehicle entry fee to get into the park: $5 per vehicle per day, $25 for an annual pass, and $15 senior annual pass.
This cache is placed by the staff of Stony Creek Nature Center, and will initially be stocked with a nice selection of Lake Superior Agates, which were collected on the Lake Superior shore, and then polished and mounted by the Nature Center Staff.
