The cache is located at the Worship Place in Sun City. It is a nondenominational church open to all faiths. If the chuch is open when you are there take a look at the sttained glass windows from the inside as they are beautiful. Your are looking for a cammoed 35mm film canister. Have fun..
This is one of ten caches in the Sun City Texas series. Sun City Texas is an age restricted retirement enclave in the city of Georgetown, Texas. The community is designed to provide varying lifestyle options and opportunities for residents who have retired or are contemplating retirement in the near future. Currently the community boasts some 5500 homes and nearly 10,000 residents. By 2011 there will be 7500 homes and approximately 13,500 residents.
There are many clubs, special interest groups, formal and informal organizations where Sun City residents may find like-minded neighbors to engage in a vast array of activities. These include sports, hobbies, crafts and social events. Sun City Texas has numerous venues to support these interests including three golf courses, craft and sports facilities and common areas for general purpose use. The Sun City Texas series is intended to introduce geocachers to some of the interesting and enjoyable amenities and areas. Enjoy your day in the “Sun”.
Note: While all of the caches in this series are accessible at night it is not recommended since there are roving security patrols which would very likely be attracted to most of the cache locations by lights, cars and activity after dark. Also please be aware that Sun City is a golf cart community. There will be golf carts on the streets traveling at less than the posted 35 MPH speed limit. So please drive carefully because the life you save my be ours.
