Geocache Description:

Legend is that a deep tunnel once existed within the boundaries of Worthington State Forest. It wouldn't be a boring cache (or would it?) if such was still in existence and awaited your discovery. The story continues that it was supposedly bored 600 feet into the mountainside by the army corp of engineers. Furthermore, it is said that the tunnel intersects and branches out deep within. It is also rumored that a seismograph machine was in operation there. Any real information I found was always skimpy at best. Any additional info is always welcome, please post in you logs. Here's your opportunity to explore a bit and perhaps prove this truth or fiction. A two part multi cache. Final is a standard ammo box with plenty of room for trades. Please be sensitive to the area as nothing needs to be extremely disturbed to find this cache. Good luck, have fun, be safe, CITO and cache on! P.S. Should you make an interesting discovery, please vow to keep it privy to us geocachers!
