Cache Details:

This cache is a camouflaged, largish 50 cal. ammo can hidden in the Larch Hill Conservation Area south of downtown Amherst. Larch Hill is a beautiful but little known conservation area near the Amherst Common School. Many people assume the area is private property because of its proximity to the school and the fact that there are some homes between it and Route 116. However, parking is easily accessible and free. The cache is a nice, flat walk along the conservation's boardwalk and cinder "butterfly trail".

So, you may be wondering, why the mystery? Well, upon finding the cache you'll be presented with yet another WMC brain teaser. Finding the cache? Pfft. That's the easy part. Signing the log? Well, that's another matter entirely. Luckily for you, the cache is hidden near a nice little pagoda with benches so you can ponder this cache's mystery in comfort. You may even see a letterbox while you're there (that's not the cache, the cache is an ammo can). The cache does contain some handy-dandy bug spray just in case the mosquitoes are active. Please leave it in the cache.

If you don't sign the log book (it is blue and has the cache's name and our WMC stamp on it), you cannot claim a find on this cache. All false logs will be mercilessly expunged - and I'll be laughing maniacally while I do it too - so be honest.

This cache is kid friendly and, in addition to the conundrum the cache will present you, there is plenty of kid and adult friendly swag for all to paw through. However, please trade up or even. Nice swag is always preferable.

Congratulations to DanceMan, mathteacher30 and astrostar for the FTSL honors. The persevered in the dark to solve this one! Well done.
