AmmoCan on Cat Rock in the middle of the Llano River. Park at The Slab, that's the low water crossing on Ranch Rd 3404. The cache is about a mile upstream.
This cache is on top of Cat Rock in the middle of the Llano River. You have to park at The Slab. This is the low water crossing on Ranch Rd 3404. Getting there is the fun part, right? Its all about the adventure, right? Well, bring your bathing suit and your river shoes for this one. Maybe even a snack or two. YOU WILL BE HIKING IN THE RIVER. YOU WILL GET WET, PLAN ACCORDINGLY. The entire hike can be done with a minimal amount of wading, but take your time and have fun. You can see Cat Rock from The Slab. Its about a mile up stream. The hike was about 1.3 miles each way. The cache is chained to a small Oak tree. Please replace the cache just as you found it. Private property is posted, so be respectful. The river bed is fair game.
