Scottiedogz: We've had to replace the log & the cache several times over the last few years, & the area where it is hidden is not as nice as it once was so time to go. Goodbye!

This is a series of roadside caches easily accessible off the A9 at the A820 Dunblane to Doune turnoff.
The trail is along single track country lanes and takes you into Red Kite country, with good chances of spotting these wonderful and rare birds of prey.
Although this cache is unique and hopefully challenging, it is located within 10M of tarmac road so are easily accessible if you interpret the clues right.
The obvious may not be so, but are plenty of clues to be found to help you locate the caches.
There should be no need to climb over fences or fight through dense forests!
As the route is on single track and often very narrow country roads, with the possibility of meeting farm vehicles, livestock and walkers, you should drive appropriately.
Alternatively this cache can be found as part of a flat circular walk from Doune along the old railway line. Look out for wild orchids there are views of Ben Ledi ( 879m ) at the end of the railway line
This cache can be done along with The Rusty Gate, The Wooden Bridge and Easter Hill Wood
Doune Bridge
This is an old railway bridge on the disused Dunblane- Callander- Oban railway line, closed in the 1960s as part of Dr. Beeching's rationalisation of the national railway network is now a footpath.
There is parking at Moray Park playing fields. This is the start of the Doune Trail.
