Geocache Description:

Today marks an Eagle Project here in MTRP.

Boy Scouts have made many improvements to this HUGE park. Today, yet another Eagle Project.

Life scouts are required to do many things to attain the highest rank in scouting. One of which is to Identify a need in the community, formulate a plan, coordinate resources, and lead a group to the accomplishment of this plan.

Jeremy of Troop 970 led a group of volunteers from 6am to 2pm, mostly in the hot blazing sun! They dug into the rocky hard ground with picks and breaker bars, leveled and placed 26 RR ties, then filled in the steps and created side drainage runs. Myself, Diedeep and Sis put in 5 hours each to contribute to the effort.

I will post pictures of this project soon, and hopefully a picture of the new Eagle Scout.
