Have you ever had one of those hard and stressful days at work
where you just NEED to get out somewhere afterwards ? somewhere
quiet, somewhere remote, somewhere where you can just relax and
take stock of everything?
after work today I needed to relax and unwind and a moorland
walk fitted the bill, so I headed up to White Coppice and completed
a rather huge unplanned walk on very remote terrain
At this spot I stood still and just took in everything around
me, utterly awesome views, I was soaked to the skin and my feet
were wringing wet but at this moment in time I was EXACTLY where I
wanted to be
how many of us stop to think how lucky we are to have places
like this on our doorstep?, from here you can see the large
monument at Darwen and only Great Hill (which is a great sight in
itself) prevents a 360 degree view for miles around !! ) I was
really taken with this place today so a cache I had planned for
somewhere else got left here instead
You are looking for a medium sized box, it should be a really
easy find, I do apologise for the lack of swaps, but like I say
this was an unplanned trip and cache placing
I hope you enjoy the place as much as I did, why not come up
here, forget lifes' woes and just ESCAPE for a while!
The Co-ords should be pretty bang on, I got a 10ft accuracy
reading, and retraced them on my way back past it, I got 3ft away
when stood there, why not leave some trackables to tempt others up
here ! the cache location is not a 3 in itself but it takes a
decent walk over rough terrain to get to it from most
directions
There is one parking spot nearby but I've deliberately not put it
on as a waypoint as it defeats the object of this cache. If you
really must drive up here be sure to take some time out at the spot
to relax and take in all that's great about Britain - you might
even forget how much you have just spent on petrol !

Happy hunting :-)
