101 Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign!

101 has some connections to Highway 101, due to proximity, but nothing whatsoever to do with Dalmatians and everything to do with cache placements.

This is my 101st hide, ergo the title. 71 of those are still active. Not all of my placements turned out as expected or were even published (sorry to the Reviewers for not doing my homework in advance), but my heart was in each and every of them.

A hint?

Generally, I’ve always been against caches that REQUIRED that a LOG ENTRY be made in a specific way. But, what the heck, there are exceptions to every rule, and this is going to be ONE OF THOSE.

This cache is dedicated to the typical Geocacher. Someone who not only goes out and finds caches, but who also places caches for ME to find. Without YOU there won’t be any way to increase my count and there certainly would be less incentive for new comers to join the fun..

Every log entry always displays the FOUND number right next to the caching name. Some of those numbers are BIG. Real BIG, and occasionally I think to myself, “GOLLY that’s impressive! Wish I had the time and assets to be in that person shoes.” But, so what? No matter how big or small someone else’s found count is it really doesn’t affect me in the least. But when I check their profile, the first thing I specifically look at is their “All Cache Hides” count. Now those numbers do have a very direct affect on me and my enjoyment of Geocaching.

IMPORTANT
In order to log this cache you CAN include the following information and in the following format.

[P=101 A=71 Y=5]
P=
number of caches PLACED by you
A=number of your caches that are still ACTIVE
Y=number of Years you have been a Premium Member

Everywhere you look the main focus is on the found count. To compare numbers there are a few well known sites.

Thank all of you Geocachers that have contributed to MY found numbers. Without YOU I would not (read “could not”) continue to Geocache.

Yaay, to ME, for having achieved 101 placements, for YOU to find!

The container is a ammo can. Coordinates determined from 9 satellites. Writing device provided.

NOTE: This cache is a Puzzle type due to the additional logging requirement.
