If you're pining for a cache to find, don't be blue!
This cache is in a pleasant little area hidden away near the
Kingsgate neighborhood. Some maps list the area as Norway Hill
Park. Some maps show unnamed green space. Some maps don't show
anything in particular here. That's inter-city rail for you.
We recommend entering the park, if it is a park, from the
trailhead at N47 44.083 W122 10.720. There is quite a bit of
on-street parking at the trailhead.
Although the area has beautiful plumage, it could use some CITO,
so don't hesitate to bring along a bag for the ever-present empty
cans that seem to collect in little greenspaces like this.
Reception was spotty while we were placing the cache. At the
coordinates, you should see a tree just resting across the trail.
The cache itself is a small green lock-and-lock tucked into the
space between a root mass and the tree, on the east side of the
trail.
As with all of our caches, there is no need to bushwack, wander
in the ferns, trample the shrubbery, or cut anything with a herring
or other sea-creature. If you stay on clearly-developed trails, you
will arrive at the cache site.
Please re-hide carefully and cover the cache with loose leaf
litter from the area -- otherwise, this could easily become an
ex-cache!
WARNING: This cache was placed for the WSGA September
2008 meet-and-greet and will already have been found in association
with the event before it gets published. We will note non-event FTF
honors, however.
