Gravel logging road, well marked hiking trail.
Cache near the Midstate trail which runs from the NH border to the RI border. This trail is well maintained by volunteer maintainers and is a great trail for a long or short hike. Follow the Yellow Triangles. See www.midstatetrail.org for more information. This area was selectively logged just a few years ago and is recovering nicely. Cache is an ammo box hidden about 70 feet from the trail. From the suggested parking follow the gravel road to the Midstate Trail then go North on the trail, please do not bushwhack, the road turns right then shortly left where the Midstate Trail crosses. A nice longer hike is to access the Midstate Trail at Route 12 in Ashburnham. Tobster is FTF!!!
