Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off a new section of the Back Mountain Trail.

This is my first cache. I live nearby and wanted you to see this new section of the Back Mountain Trail in 2008. You'll walk along the former Lehigh Valley Railroad's Bowman's Creek Branch that was abandoned in 1963. This rail line, now a trail, carried ice and lumber into the nearby Wyoming Valley from areas near the current Rickett's Glen State Park.

The cache is a camo'd jar containing small trade items and a log book. Park at N 41° 18.256 W 075° 55.903. There is no good way to park on Lehigh Street so plan on at least a 15 minute "trek" to the cache. My dad would appreciate if you picked up trash along the way to the cache- he's in the group building the trail (bmt.editthispage.com)-

Another nearby cache, "Along the Trail" is also along a different part of this trail. It was placed by Maplady, who introduced us to geocaching.
