Geocache Description:

Park at Jack Baker Woods Access off Beechwood Street. Parking is available for 6 or more vehicles. Mostly flat, the trail is abound with roots and has footbridges in the wet areas. It is 1/2 mile to the cache. Follow the blue blazes. Pets must be leashed.

Georges Highland Path maintained by The Georges River Land Trust. The Thomaston Town Forest is a 350-acre tract lying to the east of the Oyster River. The Georges Highland Path parallels the western boundary of the forest before veering eastward to pass Split Rock, a huge glacial erratic. About four miles in length, the path offers mostly level hiking through mixed and coniferous woods which provide habitat for deer, wild turkey and moose. The cache is a small Lock-n-Lock box with a pencil, log book, some small toys and buttons. Congrats to texashobblefoot for FTF!
