WEDGE MOUNTAIN as viewed from the Wenatchee River near the
town of Leavenworth, WA.
We decided to go for a drive to see some scenery and found this
nice viewpoint on Wedge Mountain, the triangular "wedge" shaped
mountain visible to the south of Leavenworth. This particular
vantage point is located on the north slope overlooking the
Bavarian village and the Icicle River Valley.
Other landmarks visible from the cache site: Boundary Butte,
Chumstick Mountain, Burch Mountain, Horselake Mountain, Tip Top
Mountain, Mission Peak.
The road to the cache (after turning off Mountain Home road) is
rough. There are some deep ruts in places so I would advise driving
a vehicle with high clearance. The short hike from the parking area
to the cache is an easy walk.
