An easy celebratory cache in Thacher Park.

.....and so there I was......when Eltee found his Diddly…….

….at the 2007 NYCRG Picnic while getting the group together for another cache run we asked Eltee and Diddly along for the fun. Although they didn't know each other at the time, they smiled at each other and said “hi”, laughed along the whole ride and had a great time. He splurged on dinner at a fine restaurant with comfortable seating and a great view – that would be, Taco Bell on a Walmart bench with a great view of the sea (of asphalt, that is). They stopped for the Captain and Bailey’s and then we headed back to camp. Around the fire the tales did grow…the Captain was killed early but the festivities went well into the night.

By mornings light the perma-grins were on and the two walked with a glow. Although they said little, the many friends who were gathered around them knew something special had begun. Just less than a year later Eltee went to the lair of the Twisted Dragon and asked him to create a special ring for his beloved Diddly. The day came when the ring was ready and it was time for Eltee to ask Diddly for her hand. Little did GPS Guy know the trail he had set so long ago would provide Eltee with the perfect backdrop for the evening.

With Eltee’s daughter by his side, they walked along the trail until Eltee got down on one knee and asked Diddly if she would give him the honor of sharing her life with him. To this, Diddly happily said “yes”.

Looks like Eltee finally found his Diddly.
