Geocache Description:

Small plastic container covered in camo tape.

Scenic Drive : Hwy 337 is regarded as one of the best scenic drives in Texas, certainly one of the best in the Hill Country. A loop originating in Camp Wood is recommended by the Texas State Travel Guide: Go northwest on 55 to Barksdale and then North on 335. Go east when you intersect with Hwy 41 and continue until you reach 336. Turn south to go the 27 miles to Leakey. This will put you back on 337 to return to Camp Wood. The cache is placed near the turn off to some vacation property that our family ownes, about a mile down the dirt road. I think that you will agree that this is one of the prettiest parts of Texas. Enjoy the view, the sunsets are beautiful but please be careful and watch out for deer.
Another interesting historical note: Charles Lindbergh crashed his airplane in the middle of the Camp Wood hardware store just two years before his infamous Transatlantic flight. There's a Texas Historical Marker in the city park to honor this humorous incident.

Update 12-07-08 Someone has come through here and cut the bushes back far enough that the cache was out in the open, we moved it about 8' West of the cords. 06-01-09 Correction listed in logs made.
