Geocache Description:

Another cache in the Landmark Journey series. No, the cache is not in Minnesota, but maybe you will be inspired to visit the landmark featured below.

Most of you probably recognize this fellow and his faithful blue companion. Of course, there are many examples around the country (see user's web page), but this is one of the finer examples. Overly broad-shouldered and boxy, the 18-foot tall, 2.5-ton Paul Bunyan was built in January 1937 by the sun-starved folks from Bemidji, Minnesota. Companion Babe the Blue Ox, once on wheels, was trucked around to Minnesota carnivals for a few years before joining Paul permanently in 1939.

Note: 1/15/13 - Please avoid parking in the small lot very near ground zero. The nearby residents don't appreciate having their spots taken.
