Un grosso grasso matrimonio a Leuca!

Il 5 settembre del 2008 Francesco e Silvia, due grandi amici della GeronteBosso Family, sono convolati a nozze e hanno deciso di farlo proprio tra i fantastici paesaggi del Salento (malgrado nessuno di loro o delle loro famiglie abitasse lì).
Ad essere onesti, il loro matrimonio non ha avuto nulla di convenzionale (come del resto gli stessi sposi, da quello che si può vedere dalla foto!) e quindi anche il mio regalo vuole essere a suo modo originale: per ricordare il party tenutosi nella notte proprio a Leuca in una fantastica villa con piscina e vista mozzafiato sull'intero promontorio (e fuochi d'artificio inclusi!), abbiamo nascosto una cache lì a pochi passi, tra il santuario e il maestoso faro...
In fondo, come si dice...una cache è per sempre!
O era un diamante?!


A big fat wedding in Leuca!

On 5 September 2008 Francesco and Silvia, two GeronteBosso Family's great friends, get married and decided to do so in the background of fantastic Salento landscape (despite none of them or their families lived there).
To be honest, their marriage has not been anything conventional (and also my two friends, as you can see from the attached picture!), so I decided that my gift had to be eccentric too: to remember the party held on the night just in Leuca in a fantastic villa with pool and breathtaking view over the promontory (and fireworks included!), we have hidden a cache near there, between the sanctuary and the majestic lighthouse...
After all, as they say...a cache is forever!
Or it was a diamond?!


Leuca? A mix of white and blue!


In cerca di curiosità...

Leuca deriva dal greco "leukos", che significa "bianco", perchè così la vedevano gli antichi marinai che provenivano dall'oriente.
Qui pare sia sbarcato S.Pietro proveniendo dalla Palestina e dando avvio al suo processo di evangelizzazione.
La micro (il contenitore per rullini che si vede nella foto tra i due sposi novelli) è nascosta in un punto che potrebbe essere molto in vista e affollato, specie d'estate: massima segretezza!
E portatevi una penna per il log...


Going curio-hunting...

Leuca derives from the greek "leukos," which means "white": in this way this land appeared to the old sailors who came from the East.
Here St.Peter is landed coming from Palestine, giving a start to the process of evangelization.
This micro (the film canister you can see in the picture) is hidden in a very crowded location, especially during summer: maximum stealth required!
In the end, don't forget a pen for logging!
