TRANS PENNINE HOTEL Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mr Truffles: Visited the cache today and removed it. The box has had a rock dropped onto it and it has put a big crack in the lid. I do not intend replacing the box therefore the hotel is closed down. I have retrieved the 2 current residents and will move them on this weekend. Thanks to all who have visited.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located quite close to a major road network servicing South and West Yorkshire and the main A628 route across the Pennines to Manchester. It is a short walk along a path in a small woodland by the side of layby which includes a snack cabin and toilet during peak travel hours.

I am sure many cachers travel along this road between South and West Yorkshire and of course the main A628 crossing the Pennines. Equally cachers from over the 'red rose' county side travel this route.

I thought it may be useful to place a TB Hotel somewhere close to this major road network to accommodate trackables so here it is. There is ample parking on either side of the A629 at N53 32.000 W001 36.572. The cache is a short walk along a path into a small crop of trees.

The cache is a 2 litre tupperware style box covered in cammo tape and contains log book, pen, pencil, sharpener, cache box card and some decent trade items.
