Campbell Field Airport, Weirwood, Virginia, easy terrain, 40ft elevation.
This cache is located at Campbell Field Airport, Weirwood, Virginia, just off of route 13. The terrain is flat and the walk is primarily through mowed grass but on occasion you will encounter tall grass/weeds.
This cache was designed to educate the geocacher about aviation in Virginia and on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There are various aviation related items in the cache including maps, stickers, pins, aviation brochures, etc.
Campbell Field Airport is a public use aviation facility. Please respect all aircraft and do not drive on any grass areas. Parking on pavement is available. Cache is located in a safe location away from all active runways. Do not cross or enter any runway. There is no need to enter or cross a runway to locate the cache.
Geocachers are welcome any day from sunrise to sunset.
There is free wifi internet access near the main airport hangar.
