La Lunatica:

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as one that may need attention. I notice that no action has been taken by the owner to correct the issue. Could the owner please check this cache and give an indication of when it may be sorted out. If there is no response to this log after 30 days I will archive the cache. In the meantime I am disabling the cache.

Guidelines:

  • You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.) or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem.

You are permitted a reasonable amount of time - generally, up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing.

Could the cache owner please place a note on the cache page so that other cachers and I can see what your intentions are.

If you no longer wish to maintain the cache then the listing should be archived.

Please DO NOT send an email about this cache in case I do not receive it. Posting a reviewer note will ensure your cache does not get archived in error.

Please note that the guidelines say that if a cache is archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ staff for lack of maintenance then it will not be unarchived. Here is the link to the relevant part of the guidelines Ownership after publication.

Geocache Description:

A cache in the lovely village of Fillingham, north of Lincoln.

This large Fillingham lake is one of the sources of the River Till, which eventually flows under Tillbridge Lane, a Roman road joining the Roman Ermine Street. The River Till then flows into the Fossdyke Canal, another Roman undertaking.
Fillingham Castle, also known as Summer Castle, is also visible from the lake. It is a large square castellated mansion built in 1760 by Sir Cecil Wray. In Fillingham village is evidence of a Roman camp and an Anglo Saxon Cemetry.
Sensible parking is available on the village roads.
