Geocache Description:

We placed this cache to commemerate our getting stuck in the mud, which was deeper than we thought.

There is a reason for such a high terrain difficulty rating. It all depends on the weather and how you decide to go in. If you decide to take in a motor vehicle, you must follow this list...

1. It should be a 4WD. Now, I'm sure there are some 2WD cars that can make it around back here, but it can be deep sand and a lot of DEEP mud! I suggest 4WD with a ton of ground clearance.

2. If you are not confident in your vehicles ability to go offroad then DO NOT attempt this cache with said vehicle. You may get stuck in the mud that's deeper than you think.

3. Carry about $300 cash or a valid credit card. No, we are not sitting back there charging a toll. That's what it will cost to get you out of the mud that's deeper than you think.

4. The mud hole that we got stuck in and was deeper than we thought is very near to the cache. Please approach slowly and with extreme caution. Also, try to stick to dry, wide, dirt roads. The sand is a lot easier to deal with than the mud. Again, the cache is close to the mud hole that was deeper than we thought. APPROACH WITH EXTREME CAUTION!

None of those were a joke. We got stuck in the mud that was deeper than we thought and it really cost us $300 to get a tow out of the mud. And that was just being pulled out of the mud that was deeper than we thought. We were able to drive back to the main road.

If you are walking or riding a bike, then you should have no problem at all getting to the cache. Again, your decision should be based on how much confindence you have in your vehicle and your driving ability. We took a Chevy Tracker in and its 4WD was great in the sand, no issue there. But we did get into some mud that was deeper than we thought. The Tracker sunk right to the ground. The whole under carriage was on the ground. Please use serious caution if you are going to attempt this in a motor vehicle and do watch out for the mud.

Having said all of that, it's now time for the fun part. This is a lock and lock container with an orange top. There are a few goodies inside, along with a travel bug. You'll notice the goodies are tow trucks. If you can, please try to keep to the towing theme. Again, this is to commemerate us getting stuck in the mud that was deeper than we thought. So, if you have anything to do with towing...a hotwheels, matchbox, tow company business cards, or anything of the like, feel free to keep to the theme. Have fun with this one too. A lot of wildlife to see and great place for anyone who likes nature photography.
