The Georgia Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Southern Pioneers or other historic sites.


Georgia Spirit Quest #2

"Don't Fence Me In"

White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Coweta County, Georgia.

To find the cache, park at the gate (never drive in even if the gate is open) and locate Berrian A. Hobby's marker, a WWII Vet, (posted coords).  Take the year he was born and subtract 1649, this will give you the distance in feet to the cache.  Take the year he died and subtract 1816, this will put you in the right direction.   

The cache container is a small Loc-N-Loc, BYOP.The cache is not located near a grave. Do not disturb monuments. If you find a fallen U.S. flag, please stick it back in the ground, preferably next to a Vet’s Marker.  As always, please be respectful.  Please re hide the cache like/better than you found it. Please do not drive into the cemetery for several respectable reasons.  This cache is only available during day light hours.  

As with all of my caches, re-hide like/better than you found the cache and please don’t give any advantages in your log so everyone as the same experience as the FTF.
