Do months have colors? This is the second cache of a series related to my thoughts on that subject.
September - the golden month. Too late to plant for summer and too early to clean up for winter. Harvest time is beginning. School is back in session. Vacation travel is generally over. Weather is often delightfully warm and the rains haven’t yet set in. It’s a stolen month; a wonderful time to go on pleasant walks close to home.
Some golden thoughts:
- golden delicious apples
- pots of gold
- 24 karat gold
- all that glitters is not gold
- marigold
- gold rush
- as good as gold
- golden rod
- pure gold
- worth one’s weight in gold
A golden delicious definition of a cacher – one who will spend up to 30 minutes driving unknown streets to save 10 minutes of walking.
With that in mind, know that there are a few other entry points to this cache on newly created and paved streets not on my mapping program. I decided to park and enter the trail as given in the coordinates below and had a delightful walk of about 0.25 each direction. While at the cache site I felt so benevolent that I pulled up three non-native blackberry plants, roots and all, to save you from getting scratched.
