Geocache Description:

Hopefully Spring has arrived after a dismal cold wet winter and everyone will be thinking CACHING - bring it on.

This event is being jointly hosted by Hello Mrs and lytteltonwitch at the Sydenham Community Centre Hall, a central location in the middle of Christchurch, Labour Day Monday 27th October and will take place rain or shine.

There is plenty of curbside and some off road car parking beside the hall. Bus stop near corner on Colombo Street.

BYO your own picnic lunch (McDonalds and Subway are at the end of the street) tea and coffee will be provided. A microwave is available to reheat food.

This will be an opportunity for newer cachers in Christchurch to meet some more experienced cachers, local and from around the country. A golden opportunity to put faces to the names of - cachers whose caches you have found or who have been finding your caches.

Feel free to bring along friends, family, workmates or anyone who may be interested and would like to have a fun day out and learn a little more about geocaching. Children are especially welcome. Please include any children in your intentions so we can arrange something special for them.

The event will start at 11am with socializing, a time to get together, have a catch up as it may have been a while since the last meeting and a chance to chat to others and share stories about the cache you didn't find, the ones you did find, the puzzles you can’t solve, the caches you have placed, are going to place or have archived.

Bring along any Geocoins or Travel Bugs you have to show or swap.

Lunch can be indoors or outdoors in the play area according to the weather. Ample chairs and tables are available so make your selves comfortable. Toilets are also available in the hall.

Kicking off about 1pm a number of activities are being planned including:-
GPS accuracy test
Projecting waypoints
A small multi cache hunt in the area which may include a puzzle element.
Note you do not have to participate in these activities. You are welcome just to come and socialise.

A gold coin donation at the venue will be appreciated to cover expenses.

Time to say your goodbyes 3pm (approx.)
