Das Morsum-Kliff befindet sich an der Wattseite der Insel und steht seit 1923 unter Naturschutz. Durch die Eiszeit-Gletscher wurden hier viele Erdschichten, unter anderem Glimmerton, Limonitsandstein und Kaolinsand auf engem Raum zusammengepresst. Die See spülte diese Schichten wieder frei, sodass sie im Kliff in schräg laufenden Farbabstufungen von weiß bis braun erkennbar sind. Man sieht Sedimente und Strukturen aus fünf geologischen Epochen der Erdneuzeit.
Um diesen Earthcache loggen zu können, beantworte bitte folgende Fragen und fügt dem Log ein Foto von euch mit euerem GPS vor dem Kliff an genannten Koordinaten hinzu. Alle Fragen können vor Ort mit Hilfe der Infotafeln gelöst werden. Die beiden Infotafeln findet ihr auf dem Weg vom Parkplatz bis zum Kliff.

The Morsum-Cliff is located on the tideland side of the island and since 1923 it is under preservation of nature. By the ice age glaciers severeal layers of earth, including glimmerton, limonite sandstone and kaolinite sand, were compressed in a small area. The sea washed it free again an today you can clearly see the diagonal color gradations going from white to brown. You can see sediments and structures of five geological periods of the cenozoic.
To log this Eartcache, please answer the following questions and add a photo of you with your GPSr in front of the cliff at the given coordinates to your log. All questions can be answered with the help of the information boards. The information boards can be found on the way from the parking lot to the cliff.
