Geocache Description:

The Famous Buttercross in Witney

butter cross

What is the Buttercross in Witney?
It is situated just off Church Green in the centre of Witney.
It's a social gathering place for what would seem young school kids.

Built in the 16 century a place where women would sell there butter and cheese.
But now used by youngsters who desecrate it with litter.

Anyway I'm particularly chuffed with this cache being a historic land mark
and one of the most difficult caches to place.
Stealth is of the upmost!!
You will have difficulty doing this during the day, 4 attempts
and I ended up placing it at 9pm on a rainy Tuesday night.

The cache is a magnetic nano, please take note!!
Don't let the muggles catch you and you will bagsie a historic cache.
