Keystone: Eight more weeks have passed, with no apparent progress. Given that the cache will be moved to a new location requiring a new land manager permit, it's best to archive this cache page. The CO can submit a new cache page if and when permission is given for a different location. That way, prior finders of this cache can enjoy a return visit!

An additional reward for finding this cache is the entire story of the Legend of Moccasin Hollow. Take a copy and read this Native American love story of Hodenosauni and Sauna...... Hidden away among the recesses of Mt. Pleasant Township lies a small valley which is seldom visited by the average citizen. It bears the odd name of Moccasin Hollow. Upon mention of that name one's mind is centered upon a district which was once infested with snakes, but as this venomous reptile is not a native of Pennsylvania we are left with an acute curiosity as to how the place acquired its name..........
(Painting by Native American artist Chloe Gates)
The pioneers who settled first in this region are the forebears of the families who have become known to us by the name of Hunter. Even the "Hunters" of this present day have descended so far from the early settlers that scarcely one is living now who knows full well the traditions of this secluded valley. Moccasin Hollow is located in the Laurel Highlands area of Pennsylvania approximately 2.5 miles northeast of Mount Pleasant, near the village of Kecksburg. The road running through the valley is named “Mocassin (misspelled) Hollow Rd” and intersects with “Hunter Hill Rd” at N40 10.295, W 79 29.365
