Geocache Description:

Easy to get close, a little harder to find.

Where you eventually find this cache has been under water! I believe it was 1984 when I saw the train bridge across the river had water right up to the tracks! And police were only letting one car across the regular bridge at a time for fear of it collapsing (older bridge since replaced). Because it is in a flood plain, the cache placement had to take this into consideration. As this is my first cache hidden, any feedback on the difficulty and accuracy of coordinates is greatly appreciated. BYOP. While you're there, take a look at some of these trees! Any trees that can survive this close to a large river always have some character, and it's amazing they survive floods so well. The Sugar Maple at the corner of the parking area is very unusual as they aren't typically "multi-stem" like this one. It's very likely at least 100+ years old!
