Those of us who live in the community of Boring have heard all the jokes. Our out-of-town friends rib us constantly. When we call out of the area to have something shipped, the sales person laughs. People tell me that a Pastor Dull used to preach at a Boring church. I've done the research and know its not true but my friends swear by the story's accuracy. This sign will disprove once and for all that the town of Boring is simply a quiet, sleepy, ho-hum place. This sign reflects an energetic, enthusiastic, happening place! Check out the flair, the style, the penasche. This sign captures the essence of a community anxious to step out from the shadows of an unfortunate identity crisis. We're the 21st century. We're booming, not boring. Come see for yourself. 5/29/2012 update. Well they covered the old, faded, dilapidated sign with peeling letters. Now, unfortunately, there is a lovely new sign in its place...which makes the clever sarcasm of this cache irrelevant. I decided to leave the cache anyway.
