JC Brownsea: Hidden Mouth Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

therealwesty: Great cache, but the maintenance on this one is too intensive. The combination of traffic and the elements is just making this one too much work to keep alive.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the mouth of Jackson Creek. Here the creek joins the Otanabee River as they dump into Little Lake.

The cache is small black container holding a small logbook and pencil.

This area is part of Del Crary Park and the Peterborough Marina. The blue and white building is Brownsea Base, a summer-time canoe, kayak and sailing program run by Scouts Canada for boys and girls throughout the summer.

This park can be very busy at times, stealth and good timing will be required. Most summer evenings the Scouts use the base from about 6:00pm to sundown. The Festival of Lights also draws massive crowds to the area on Wednesday and Saturday nights throughout the summer.
