Geocache Description:

A "spinoff" of the original Mike Ferguson cache (GC17X46), just off the trail to Mickey's Corral

------------------- NEWS FLASH!! (posted 10/01/08) MIKE FERGUSON FOUND!!! Thanks to a year-old post by justbob (owner of GC17WQ8--Demo Edition) on the Mtbr.com forum (Mtbr.com > forum > California - Norcal > Who is Mike Ferguson) Mike Ferguson has been found!! He posted as "cmdrpiffle" on that thread. ------------- "In honor of Mike Ferguson and his act of kindness." I happened to get Geokasher's "Mike Ferguson: Henry Coe Edition" (GC17HZ1) cache on New Year's Day 2008 and proceeded to write-up my own tale of woe (and dangerous dehydration!) in may cache log that day. I was very dehydrated and stumbling once-upon-a-time in late 2006 when I arrived in China Hole (Southeast of Coe HQ). I borrowed the water filter of some skinny-dipping backpackers and drank the life sustaining fluid that they had been swimming in. It was quite a relief to be able to get back to my car that evening without having to look forward to intestinal problems from bad water. I did not get their names, but it certainly hit home when I read both the original Mike Ferguson cache (GC17X46) and Geokasher's Henry Coe edition (GC17HZ1). This particular cache may help solve a similar problem for someone else...the cache contains an unopened pint bottle of Crystal Geyser. FTF can take the dollar coin, but don't take the water unless you really need it...if you do take the water, please consider a return trip to replace it.
