Geocache Description:

Nancy Ordnance Depot-U.S ARMY(1951-1966)

Hi,

I’m the Sergeant John MICKLIN of the U.S ARMY.

In 1951, I was assigned to the 109th Ordnance Company near Nancy.
After Korean War, I was proud to serve my country close to this beautiful and peaceful town. My job was to repair jeeps, 3/4 ton weapons carriers and 2-1/2 ton trucks. One time, I worked an eleven-hour day. My Second Lieutenant and I decided to smoke outside a Velvet cigarette. This year, the winter was very cold and the ground was covered with snow. Unfortunately, a little military box has fallen out of my pocket on the snow! I have tried to find it again. But, it was impossible with this snow.

This day, I stood up close to the pre-fab barrack number 122.

Help me to recover my little box and please take some pictures of other barracks in this fun fair called “ PARC de LOISIRS de la FORET de HAYE” (exit 17- Freeway A 31)

GOOD LUCK, my friend.
John

Postscript: One-dollar bill for the FTF and a quarter for the STF
