How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, it is quite a climb to get to the location as there is no path, hence the name.

Since catching the "geo cache bug" we have always thought this would be a great place for a hide as we stay near by.

There are already a few in the reserve which we have found but still feel there is room for more, in this 700 hectares of unspoiled natural wilderness area. It is hard to believe that you are barely 10 kilometres from Joburg's CBD. It contains a wide variety of trees, forbs, flowers and grasses, together with an ever increasing number of animals including black wildebeest, blesbuck, Burchell’s zebra, springbok and red harteebees. There are also in excess of 160 bird species in the reserve. Even in the dry winter it is a great place to get the family out into the fresh air.

We thought we would make it a bit tough given the fact that two in the reserve are relatively easy........ it got even tougher when we found the perfect spot. It is really well hidden which without the co ordinates provided will be hard to find.
