Shailorville Tylerville Cemetery located on Rt 154 in Haddam
This cemetery, which dates back to 1759, is one of the older in th state. You certainly get a feel for the local history while walking around. Shailorville is a small village located to the south of Haddam. The Shailor family consisted of rich sea captains and ferrymen who owned most of the land. Tylerville was located just to the south of Shailorville across the river from East Haddam. The Tyler family were shipbuilders who ran shipyards and trading companies.
